Naira Marley still in custody says EFCC’s acting Head.
Fast rising Nigerian rappers, Afeez Fashola (aka Naira Marley) and Temidayo Omoniyi (aka Zlatan), remain in EFCC custody.
The duo were arrested at Zlatan’s house in the early hours of Friday.
A video featuring Ruggedman had gone viral last week in which the rapper called out Naira Marley for advocating Internet fraud.
Naira Marley, whose recent song is titled Am I A Yahoo Boy
responded by mocking Ruggedman in an Instagram video and defended his artistic choices.
The artiste noted that the promotion of such cyber crimes impacted negatively on Nigerians abroad.
The source added that of the two artistes are also under the agency’s investigation for songs and comments glorifying cybercrime; most recently “am i a yahoo boy?” released on Thursday.

The EFCC’s acting Head, Media and Publicity, Tony Orilade, in an interview with Punch confirmed that the artistes have still not been released. Orilade said, “They are still with us as we are talking.”
Asked if the singers would spend the weekend in custody, he said, “they are still with us. When they are released, I will let you know”.
The singers were arrested based on “intelligence report” allegedly linking them to cybercrime offences.
The commission said the artistes were apprehended along with three other suspects, Tiamiu Abdulrahman, Adewunmi Adeyanju and Musa Abubakar, following an early morning raid at 9, Gbangbola Street, Ikate, Lekki, Lagos.
