Venezuela has plunged into a political crisis in the midst of a developing line over President Nicolas Maduro’s future as the country leader.
Maduro began a second term on January 10, following a broadly boycotted election a year ago that numerous foreign governments refused to understand.
On January 23, Juan Guaido, leader of the opposition-controlled National Assembly, proclaimed himself between time president.
Not long after Guaido made a vow swearing himself in, US President Donald Trump openly recognised him as the country’s leader.
Maduro blamed Guaido for arranging an overthrow and order his arrest.
