In a broadcast address Monday, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said the recovery from power blackouts will be “gradually,” adding the blackout was an “electronic coup” completed by “criminal personalities.”
Maduro censured the US for attacking the power structure, saying the “imperialist government” of the United States ordered this attack,” yet offered no confirmation for the case.
School and work in the nation will be suspended for an additional 48 hours, Maduro said Monday.
“It is difficult,” he stated, saluting the general population of Venezuela, and included the nation will “recover gradually.” He conceded huge pieces of the nation “aren’t balanced out” and cautioned “more attack” could be on the way.
“We are on the right side of history,” he said. “We are on the right side of history,” he said. “We are on the way to a great victory from the greatest blow ever delivered to Venezuela.””
